honda prelude

i know a mech in subang who deals with honda modifications.Let me know if u want his number.He quoted 16k to turbo my lude including the internals and ecu.He has turbocharged one lude wit no probs.I want another alternative coz 16k is over my budget

i dont really know n bother so much bout turbo'ing the h22a engine.. :thumpdown

but as i know .. turbo laying inside those vtec engines are using B20AorB block/head .. then forged piston .. bla bla bla blaa n the rest i dont really know.. h22a block can't really stand for a turbo pressure even its on minimum 3mm apex metal gasket.. unless u rebuilt those cans inside the block (the silinder that holds the piston within) to a high pressure silinder,bla bla bla n so on .. then u it might make u think twice.. but the main thing is the "block & pistons" .. :rolleyes:

why does the japanese didnt invented VTEC Turbo straight from the factory?? :cool:

i think u r rite it may due to block/head.....otherwise we must strenghten internal part and bla bla bla...... let's see how after i change my piston down to 8.8:1 or 8.7:1 and may be will bring my car to kl to get ppl to re-tuned.

Re: anyone heard of RS impressive in puchong? i know he tuned unizip but not sure how good the tuning skill.

I am having that thinking also.... Now seeking for infos and advices from my US friends who turbocharge his lude. Maybe he can help. I will post anything here about the turbocharging of H22A if i get any reply from him.

Maybe next time, all the zth prelude will be turbocharge..!!!

wah saiyuke..really wanna get ur car faster????respect!!hehe..i jst leave the engine n oni do the maintenance..its ok maa..no need to do mod..people oredi trembling c 4th gen design..hahah..theres one luders that oredi mod his car but he is missing in action..try to look back at this thread..he post a picture of his ride i think..

Just thinking only but i think before going to more sped better change those safety first, like better absorber and brake clipper... hehehe... STOP is very important when we start going too fast.



p/s: i have ask the JUN auto from Japan and total $$$ of High lift CAM, valve spring, valve retainer and camGear is roughly RM11,900 include freight charges.

does anyone knows where is the Service Check Engine Light service connector socket? which have 2 wires,black + white black lines? then u need a pair of wires or metal clips.. then the code will flash in the dashboard and count the pulse .. the use of it to check/retrieve the ecu code problem.

my lude lately giving me CHECK Engine Light ON.. but it does not blink,its just stays there.. until i off.. then on.. later it light up again.

ive been getting this prob after installing apex'i rev/speed meter (blue screen) ..

so if anyone here using rev/speed meter (blue screen) may i know what is ur settings from A-Z .. thanks.. much appriciated guys!

i have the same problem b4....change o2 sensor problem solved. you may diagnos by computer to find out why check check light on.
