guys...wondering.....do u think charades will still be around like 1-2 years from now? coz i only think that by that only till that time will i be able to convert to Gtti as i plan to lar....just afraid that the half cuts might be extinct by then....hmm.... :(

Dont worry as long as the people still using.. thos halfcut and part still available..even daihatsu still producing spare parts for GTti..

My fren just converted thier aura(G100) and G11 cateyes with GTti.. ;)

My pomen said that Daihatsu designed G100 for the year 2000 market..Look at the design and compare with other car that produced during 1987-1990..Like Honda Mayat, still kotak design although it was produced in 1988..Look at Iswara which was produced in 1991..Kotak as well! Daihatsu designed the bulat car in 1987 that the design can last till now..

For the spare part, you can still find it at hakat..Or you got to stick at Charade Otais' workshop..They can find it for you cz they have a good contact with hakat's tokey..They can even order from Japan through that tokey..

My suggestion is, don't sell you car because when you convert to GTTi, you will feel the satisfaction of true Turbo engine..Don't have enough money? Apply for personal financing and pay back. Sell your handphone, PDA or laptop. Do a part time job or over time...If you wait till 2 years from now, I'm affraid that the price of hakat will rise..Upah fee still same..So, do it now! :D

haha...aura g100...i still college student lar....the money that i use to modify the car is all from savings and odd jobs here and there...not enough yet.../.ill start working by next year..thats why was wondering whether our Charades will still be around...haha....but fret not, coz i think the charades will continue to rise for years to come! hahaha.....macam drama.....hopefully, by then a new breed of charade wouldve been produced.... :)

Better you keep money for your studies..When I was in university, I also can't afford to have a car even motocycle..Jalan kaki sahajalah or take a bus to campus..Now, all that memories kept me in right direction and I always say to myself "always look down even now you ride a GTTi..".. At the end, I realized I got to keep myself humble..Hahaha..There is more powerful car outside there.. :o

I agree that the G100 Charade design remains modern till today. One of things I like about it. B)

Brand new spare parts for the Charade still remain available. My supplier tells me not to worry about it. He says any part he doesn't have available can be ordered from Japan. And I have faith in his words since I was able to get brand new original pistons and piston rings for a CB50 (G11 turbo, 1st gen) engine end of last year!

Being a car enthusiast is very expensive. When I calculate back how much I've spent on my car (and its still going on :( ), even I get shocked at the amount. I could have bought a brand new Proton cash! :blink:

But its an unescapable fact. So unless you're willing to invest a lot of $$$, don't get involved in cars. ;)

True Speed..My GTTi fren (hmm..he's here actually) says that Daihatsu spareparts you still can get or even worst, you can go to Daihatsu Kilang at Shah Alam..They still produce Daihatsu sparepart including GTTi parts..

Even I can get my front signal lamp - NEW at sparepart shop! They sell it for RM23 per side..I bought both side for RM45..A bit expensive right but I want new..And it makes my bumper look new..

CB50? The oldest I've ever heard is CB60 (Turbo Carburator for G11)..There is CB50?

no worries bro :D i bet the charade will live on...even now also i still putting some sweat into it, just love the cars handling....compared with proton cars, this car is way much more advance....try sapu 90 degree corner with satria at 70km/h and try it with charade at 70km/h, you can feel the difference....erm, well, for me i felt it larr :P damn stable....very minimal understeer....almost none also....and the best part is the hasseless parking..:P small car, anywhere got small space also can cucuk :P
