halfcut B16A from civic EK4 not power as B16A from Integra?

a stupid question to ask!!!
is that true?

got a foreman told me that the original halfcut B16A EK4 is not power as original B16A integra??

i am confuse!!!

By the way found a B16A halfcut from year 92 integra rm4000 is it worth to buy? with that value?

If I'm not mistaken 92 Integra is already B18... correct me if I'm wrong

ya,.... got B18 and B16 too... even DC2 model still got B16 under the hood!
just not common in malaysia!

no no...1989 - 1991 DA series integra is B16A...1992 and above is DC/DB series and only come with B18C and B18CR for type R...theres no b16 for DC2 mate....for da6 halfcut the price is around there....got mine for 3.8k....

Yeah... logically if u say a b16 from an integra, immediately the DA6 comes to mind... so, if thats the case, its a 'VTEC kecik'.... EK4 deffinately 'VTEC besar'... so u do the math on which is more powderful... unless ur pomen refering to an auto EK4...

Besides, when he's trying to push you the older B16A from Integra, he'd probably bullshit a little. You can refer to the older threads of chasis and engine codes and check the horsepower ratings.

last batch of DA series using Big V but its still came with clutch cable
EG's using Big V with hidraulic clutch..

which foreman told u that?...give us the workshop name....so can add to the "Never To Go There" list...heheheh....

udeng, it shud be outside malaysia since he claimed that the DC with b16a is not common in malaysia but somewhere else... hehe

power wise as long as its B16A big v shud be same. as what being quoted by honda.
with 2K different, if u doing the transplant for ur EK then better get the EK4 hafkat... u can use the dashboard, meter cluster, ABS, Airbag and most of the engine part quite close to EK9 type r parts.. n everything is pnp.

wait! dc/db series has a lot of version maa.... got first got FF n 4WD ^_^ usually dc with E-DC2 comes with B18C. (if not mistaken la). but E-DC1 should come with a 1.6 twin cam engine (probably ZC?). not even vtec if i'm not mistaken. not sure whether got B16A from DC series or not. if ur computer can display kanji n all the japanese characters, n u can read japs, why not try honda's website?

yup...hattech is right...go for EK4 if u r installing it into EK....to me, i only dun like it that i comes with OBD2 wiring...means hard to play ecu 're-chip' thingy ler...the rest all fine since it's the same B16A...parts are all interchangable...

Yeah hat-tech actually I tried posting this tread before but felt really helpless, doestn't find any directions. Pls anyone cud give some opinions.

Appreciate from Hondarian

my 5 sen, slight diff in gear ratios often been exaggerated as
xtreme diff in power... but im surprised that even some sifoo hondarians
agreed with our fren's pomen

aaaa?opinion?its simple math...if you are driving an EG better get EG halfcut cos u can fully utilise everything...same goes to if u r driving an ek or a dc....i have no problem with rechip...im using the big V da halfcut and using chip meant for EK....so far no prob...not sure how or why :P
