EVO 9 fuel consumption

True to some extend. It would be better if it can give reasonable FC (say avg 9km/ltr) when driven very smoothly and will only drink much if driven hard.
Nowadays high performance cars also can return some decent FC if driven smoothly at regular speeds.

Probably again tuned for brute force unlike those newer smaller engines. Anyway, standard still a 2.0...

Hi all...good evening.
Full tank from puchong heading back to kedah.
Speed maintain 150-160km/j...topped up to full tank again at rnr bukit merah
about rm80.Ecu reflash.
Before i using evo6 n fc e6 more than e9.

Agree on Stock Japanese Tune for ECU is rich. It's to protect the engine, reduce heat...

I loaded the stock FuelMap for my EvoX and nearly fainted.. haha.. (I have the EcuFlash, EvoScan and Tactrix cables)
I tuned both the LoOctane and HiOctane maps, so that I have a sweet spot for Ron92-95 and Ron 97-101 (In track)

My Fuel economy is so much better for daily drive (Ampang to Shah Alam)
averaging around 10.4 - 11.8 Litres per 100KM (With a daily traffic jam of 1hour 30mins drive)

Highway is around 10.5 cruising 140km/h...
Got 8.9L/100KM for 110km/h cruising..

Just go for a ECU Reflash / Fuel Mapping... Guaranteed satisfaction and best return of investment :)

As I DIY myself.. I kept a few maps, For Daily Drive, Weekend Drive, Spirited Drive, Track, and High Octane... Just matter of minutes to reflash..

Ron95 or 97? Your trek must be fast to be taking that much of fuel.

Just to share some figures on my EvoX using Ron95:
Urban driving with average speed of 35-40kmh (mix of normal & sports mode): 13L per 100km
Highway cruise (normal mode most of the time): 10L per 100km
On the track (s-sports!): 19L per 100km. 50 litres lasted me 260kms.
