emanage cable usb to usb?

hi gurus!

I just brought a second hand emanage and the supported tools set, however my laptop does not have any serial port to support the software to tune it. Are there a USB to USB cable which can support? or any external cable? Are there anyone having the same problem? Appreciate if anyone can name me the brands, location where i can purchase or help me to solve this problem...

do u already have the original cable?i think we can't use the usb-usb cable.it may damage the unit or the laptop.it says so in the e manage manual.for other alternative cables,log on to http://www.mohdparts.com/

check the Emanage menu! it did written down :) For computers that are not equipped with a serial port, a USB to Serial adapter is required. Do not use USB to USb CABLE

yeah,in the manual,it strictly says do not use usb to usb cables because i believe in serial port cables,it has a cip inside if i not mistaken.if you use usb-usb cables,it can't detect the unit also.i've tried it before.

Yes! just only get a new usb to serial converter.
