Ok i just got my FD1 for a bout a month now, changed to 17" rims and also Eibach Pro kit..

Lately the way the gear changes when taking off is kinda irritating. I have been driving manual for quite sometime now so i dont really adore Auto trans but no choice since FD1 only comes with auto trans.

When taking off i dont really like to step on the pedal hard and rev it so i just push on it slowly till it picks up speed, but it always stays in gear 1or2 and goes vrooooooommmmmmmmm and then suddenly changes which is annoying. Not only sucking petrol but also uncomfortable.

What cause it to do such a thing? Also after changing to Eibach, the springs is quite hard so the ride has become a lil bumpy, any other lowered springs to recommend for Civic FD1? Dislike the big gap on the back after changing rims and using ori springs :(

after changing to bigger rims and tires...do u feel that the noise from the tires came inside the passenger cabin...u can hear grrrrrrr or wonggggg like that?
thats why my friend told me. he regret changing rims & tires.

This one yes, i think because im using falcon and maybe a little rough on the road. But this sound im hearing is the rev sound from the car, when first change rims no problem.

Maybe its because i went up genting that day when coming down instead of stepping on brake all the time, i keep dropping the gear down to 2 or 3 to take cornering. The ECU adapted to that style?

Some advise to drive slow for 1-2 weeks and let the ecu adapt back.

This problem has gotten really bad today it almost cost an accident, while cornerning at 100+ suddenly it down shifted from approx gear 5 to gear 2. The car went vrooooommmm and damn got my balls shaken up. Taking it back to Honda first thing tomorrow.

Also i did some research and i see quite some people are having problems with delay/rough shifting with their Honda Civic's.
