I tried wif D1GP Rx7 and Shingeno Version 86. Use N tyres. N3 infront, N1 rear. Front camber 3.3, rear camber 0. Toe 0. Switch off all driving assist, i.e. ASM & TSC. Make sure sufficient engine HP on both cars, i.e. 300hp plus for rx7 and 200hp plus for the 86. Use analog mode for accel and brake. Use driving park as drifting grounds, the one wif chicanes, big bend and tight hairpin.

Can be done and it's fun. :)

yeah...the thing to remember is not too much countersteer and make sure u get the timing right...if not ur car will swing the other way round and u'll spin...HAAHAHHAHAHAHAHA stimmmm

And best if you do it 2 laps per session. This way, after you finish, you can play back and see your own style of drifting and correct yourself at certain corners. :D All in the comfort of home

PS : Hope this thread won't get towed soonz.

Get the Driving/GT Force Pro steering wheel with 2.5 turns lock2lock if you want a good feel for drifting. IMO using the joypad (especially without throttle) is kinda arcadey and unrealistic.

Want a good drifting machine in GT4? Get the Blitz R34 or HKS Hyper Genki S15. Both are D1GP machines and can drift easily "stock standard". The 86 is easy to drift but cannot "tarik" far-far...

I for one think it's ok to have this thread here. Even though it's about a video game, but it's also about drifting...so consider it a more focused thread about GT4 rather than just a general GT4 one.

Oh and here's a lil' pic of an early attempt of mine to drift. Not a very high angle but I'm concentrating on the smoothness of the drift rather than angle right now.
