Since you mentioned 6MT, I'm assuming either VIII or IX.

RS
- mechanical rear differential
- no ABS
- 15" steel wheels
- no AC
- no audio
- no central locking
- no electric windows and mirrors
- no Recaros and Momo wheel
- quicker steering rack
- 90kg lighter
- front and rear track 15mm narrower
- 2-piston front, single piston rear brakes
- Only available in Scotia White

Options to include the items omitted from the GSR package was always available to the RS, but only if you were ordering from the factory. You could, if you so wanted, outfit your RS exactly like a GSR.

When MMC launched the VI, they included another variant to sit between the RS and GSR, which was called the RS2 or alternately, RSX. This particular variant contained most of the creature comforts from the GSR but deleted AYC and ABS from the equipment list. The RS2 did not, however, share the steering rack and the gear ratios from the RS.

If, like cyilaw asked, you are asking about the differences between the ratios of the 6-speed trannies used in the RS and GSR, it's the same since the 6-speed gearbox came standard on the VIII GSR and was as option on the VIII RS. With the IX, the 6-speed gearbox became standard on both the RS and GSR.

Hope this is what you wanted.

oonbc,

Hey bro, i think for RS sepc evo they do not come with 6MT gearbox!!! Not for E8, not for E8 MR and Not for E9 too... When refering to de spec btw GSR n RS spec Evo, de main different is tht GSR using 6MT gearbox n de RS is using a modify ratio 5MT gearbox!!! Even for E9 GT spec, they r fitted with 5MT gearbox too... Wherether it come as an option, i dunno... Hvnt heard of it b4!!!

If u r asking what's de different btw 5MT box n 6MT box, de main different wil b de final ratio n de 3rd, 4th n 5th gear ratio r all different!!! If u really needed de figures, i can find it out for u... LoLzzzzz.... Cos its all writen in de Mag.... :_:

Cheers!!!

CT9A-SJDFZ RS 6-Speed Manual

CT9A-SNDFZ RS 5-Speed Manual

The 6-Speed Manual has been an option for the RS since the gearbox was introduced with the VIII. Actually, anything you find on a GSR can be specified to an RS and vice versa, as long as you are able to order it from the factory.

For all the noble intentions housed by the boffins at Honda by creating the CR-Z as a spiritual successor to the nippy CR-X, sometimes the thought alone just won’t cut it. While the CR-Z does possess a respectable amount of handling to back up the less-than-stellar performance, by far it has fallen quite a distance from the goal.

The decent...
