I found out that Jazz 2003 model is 1.4 and 2004 model is 1.5. Anyone can enlighten me what is the main difference between the two model other than the cc?

1.4 is IDSI model
1.5 is Vtec model

1.5 version got more cosmetics iinm like signals on side mirrors, rear spoiler etc etc

I never knew Jazz ever used 1.4 litre engines? Always thought they had the 1.5 litre IDSI and VTEC range only but anyhow, the VTEC Jazz is so much more punchier than the IDSI. Besides, Honda recently launched the facelift Jazz and the front looks stunning. Very sporty!

its idsi engine is about 1450cc or something i'm not too sure. Its marketed as 1.5liter here in malaysia and 1.4liter in australia, basically same car, just the marketing stuff. i never knew it too until my friend bought one when he's in australia and it is brought to my attention.

original Jazz was available in 1.4 IDSI version. as the city is using 1.5 engine, Honda was thinking why not let Jazz use the same engine?

furthermore, the competitions are all using 1.5 engines like Yaris and Swift.
let me remind us all, Japanese version of these cars are only using smaller capacity engines. even in UK where the Daihatsu Sirion (or Boon aka Myvi) is using only the 1000cc. same goes to Yaris and Swift in UK where the biggest engine available is only 1.3

malaysians are the luckiest of them all.

actually the 1.4 is from the L-series, btw its onli 1.3
not 1.4 as advertise

I guess same goes to Proton Savvy with 1149cc. its nearer to 1100 instead of 1200. Proton engineers dont know simple maths? hard to believe....

rest my case though

1 of my fren got a Honda Jazz 1.4 IDSI but not too sure which year it was and he told me that the 1st batch of Honda Jazz that available in Malaysia is CBU version!

all Jazz are CBU including the i-VTEC model with exception of the latest facelift which is being assembled in Alor Gajah.
