i understand that by converting our original wav format to mp3 will result of quality lost during the process.
how about converting back from mp3 to wav back again?(using back the same source)
does this conversion bring back back the previous WAV quality?

i'm doubt whether the quality shrink or lost??

Acutally there are some program like the one i m using 'Coolsoft power mp3 converter, u can set the quality you wanted when u convert, lower quality will make the file size smaller, higher quality file size bigger......thats all i know

Even if that's the case, there should still be quality loss due to compression. The reason it MP3 and most audio compression codecs is popular due to the file size after compression. I only now 1 audio compression that's lossless. It's 'ape'. There might be others. To answer your question, from wav -> mp3, some losses will happen. Then, when you convert the mp3 to wav again, more losses will happen. you can't get back the wav to it's original source wav quality because it was converted from a lossy audio compression (mp3) back to wav.

thanks for all the info!
now i understand!
coz was thinkin to convert back some of my fav mp3 song to wav format to improve the quality listenin in the car
