clifford installation agent in kl/penang

planning to install clifford 2 way alarm system for my car. anybody knows the price and shop which knows how to install the alarm system?

what is the max distance for the 2 way to respond? I worry that the alarm have approx 200 to 300m only.

does the alarm comes with immo?

Which model of Clifford u r interested in? The remote is white or black (carbon fibre look)?

Clifford and Viper are from the same manufacturer hence are actually similiar in function and looks. Look out for Viper authorised installers. I think there is one in Damansara Utama, opposite Mee Yoke. Contact Roger Tan at 03-80753888, he is with authorised distributor for Clifford an Viper alarm in Malaysia. He gave me the authorised installer in Seremban once.

The price of the newest remote start model for clifford would be the RSX series. I think the prices now is around RM2000. One tip, check out www.savingslot.com or ebay, if you buy overseas and courier it back, it is much cheaper. Unit would costs about RM900. I bought my Viper 791XV (similiar as RSX series) overseas so it was cheaper. Installation alone would cost RM400.

Range wise, the manufacturer stated that under ideal conditions, the range is 1km (0.6 miles) but the effective range i get so far is around 300m with no obstacles. I can receive the signal from my car at my 11th floor apartment unit (my car is right below my room window).

The alarm does not have built in immo but it has a starter kill relay. You can add in a off the shelf immo to the unit... Hope this helps...

Sorry for the late reply. I got one good installer for clifford alarm in Setapak area, call him and discuss with him your requirement. His shop is open on Sunday too. For the last three years he is the top seller and installer for Clifford alarm. Please call this guy, Bao Soo Nang 019-3246646

anyway, the alarm I am looking for is the black or sometimes looks like carbon fibre type. any difference? price or the stuff comes with the remote? e.g. auto start, bj4 or.....

yup... urs is the RSX series but for which model, it depends on the number of auxillary outputs that the alarms has. You wont regret getting a Clifford or Viper, except the price is kinda steep...

You can also add optional sensors such as motion sensor and audio sensor. Buy it from ebay, really really cheap for the motion sensor... RM80 bucks like that as compared to RM200 here in Malaysia.

Carbon fibre type...My bro is using Matrix 3.5 RSX in his car. THere is another model which is RSX 3.2. Expect to pay more than 2K for both the 2-way responder models. Blackjax immobiliser will cost about RM900+. Apparently the higher range is the Clifford Avantguard around RM3K+. Try contacting Ah Fatt at 019-3321123. The address is No.15 Jalan PJS11/7 Bandar Sunway 46150 Selangor.

Johnsmith, would advise u to buy it back from US direct. Even with the courier and taxes (maybe even lucky enuf to escape the tax), it would still be cheaper than Malaysia...

I bought my Viper from www.savinglots.com and i bought my viper sensors from ebay.com. Clifford alarm should be around USD 230 (so it be around RM880). They accept credit card or Paypal payments so its pretty convenient. Installation would be around RM 400.

coz in malaysia there is only a limited amount of distributors for these alarms so they can jack up the prices very high...
