Cefiro Club

a set of antera 18" will cost me 8k easily...maybe i should consider OZ racing 18"

whats the offset n pcd of audi?

edit: found - pcd5x112 with offset between +42 to +32 for 18"x7.5JJ and between +45 to +32 with 18"x8JJ. its really rare to get these pcd rims...112mm...not many shops have it...saw b4 one of Audi use the 114.3mm rims n mod to 112...since its only 2.3mm difference...

Heh...I could make a 124 Merc out-perform any audi or bimmer of the same cubic capacity, and without a turbo...

Even running on the old L-Jetronic fuel injection system...

FC would not be as good, though unless I switched to the full K-Jetronic system...

...I'm getting itchy again, and I told myself never again some time ago...

That would be too easy...and I already have the blueprints...

BUT...I have this silly thing in my rear called a "Torsion Bar" which I can't get rid of...

PLUS...it's a front wheel drive which makes it virtually impossible to get any more than 260 bhp's or so to the tarmac...the rest will simply convert itself into heat and smoke...

So...no...the feilo would not be my choice of car to mod...

The Audi A4 1.8T sports the same engine as the VW 1.8Turbo...a car my friend in Sg was driving...so I know the specs...the strengths...and the weaknesses...

...it also sports the same chasis...which holds the road fairly well even in stock form..

NOW...an OLD...old man's car...like the Mercedes 124, 200E...a car no-one would ever think could out-perform an Audi 1.8T...that would be a challenge...

But if you understood German engineering concepts...then you would KNOW that it could be done so easily that it's laughable...

I'll get my friend to drive his car up from Sg one of these days...a car both of us worked on...and then we'll see how the Audi holds up...

...he's currently working on putting a newer Merc V6 motor into it...and I'm thinking of buying his old one...for a later project...

As for my A32...roadholding even with bad rear bushes is now perfect...and as good as it will ever be. My engine still pulls hard, surprisingly harder than some of the newer A32's in our group. The only thing left to do is to re-shim it, Y-Pipe it, and that's how I will leave it. Well, maybe I'll buy an old SAFC and retune the fuel maps a little...

I'm thinking...I'm thinking...

But I don't really want a drift car. I would really like a track car. A combination of sprint, handling and impressive top end. Sort of like the chase cars in the Indy 5000...

It has to be able to do 0 - 100 in at least less than 6 secs. Less than 5 secs would be better but I can't afford the gearboxes...

It should be able to breach 250 kmh and be stable doing it...

Handling has to be very good...not stiff and hard, but firm...and should not go sideways unless I intend it to....

The A31 can be made to do all this...and with a decent body kit will look fairly contemporary...but...that will cost me a minimum rm 12k - 15k and a heck of a lot of time...

Damn...I wonder if my boss will give me a raise, and let me work less...

chris...tell ur boss u want a raise or quit...

hows the trip to sg? manage to get anything from ur friend?

Hehehe..audi against merc..hehhe...wait till i get it modded with ecu chip change, abit of high powered tuning by ABT in Sg. Think it will do the trick..

without mod, last speed recorded 240Kms..ok no problem...engine holds up well, not being stressed...

Hey boys...check this out. Seems interesting sturts...

joey...has this UR's 4 point strut bar on my wifes kenari...damn....it really works!
the car its practically stock except for the bar n i can feel the body roll its minimize when i do hard cornering...and its only rm150! good buy...

but they dont have it for a32/a33...can custom..but i think only 3 points max...

Probably stiffens the front a lot, but upon frontal impact...

a) It will not allow the crumple points on the car to work...
b) Any impact in front will transfer the force to the absorber mounts and firewall resulting in total frontal warpage..

Gee! good point! Minor accident might cause the serious injury to the chassis if you lock it too hard..no place to move.

Anyway, the 3 point struts normally locks the absorbers to the wall rather then to the fronts!

would say the 3 points r more than sufficient...

edit: they do have it for A32!!

also rear 2 point bar!!...hmm...wanna sell my ZENDEN tower bar...who want? cheap cheap...
