Hard to say... my Yamaha 4416SX bought in 1999 still works - burned more than 300 CDs so far. CD burners are cheap nowadays compared to 5 years ago (it costs RM 1,700 for the 4416SX).

i've been using my HP 8x cdr 8 years ago until now.. i think i've burned at least 5000+ cds.. and it still doesnt give me any problems..
but then my friends lite-on 1 year ago has been giving him lots of problems.. sent back to liteon for 2 times and still the problem exist..

My creative burner about 2 years 9 months old, still very good ;) .. by next year I will get DVD dual channel burner :P , Year 2005 everyone will start using DVD burner .. now DVD burner also cheap.

:( :( me on lite-on also.......damn.....been used "commercially" for 2 years ady.....my sister la.....f4 f4 f4 f4....dunnoe burn how many hundred sets ady....now i got another few sets to burn.........haizz nvrmind la...kaput just get a new one la.....thanks for da info ppl.....

hmmm.....external aa......how many disc sudah bakar?? lately mine givin me issue...thats y i wondering ......cash also low....haih......i love my sis.....!@#!@@#$@#$@#$ everytime drama and f4 f4 f4 f4 f4 f4 kakkakakakkakkak
