Hello Guys,

Just wonder the best combination of brake system for my EK 4 doors.

Current setup:

Car : local made EJ7 yr1997
Brake servo: DC-2 Type R complete kit from halfcut
Rear disc :Ferio EK4 disc
Front disc: Original EJ7
Pad : Bendix metalking (all 4) ....too many dust ma....
Brake lining and system all stock
Tyre : Bridgestone Potenza RE711 195/55/R15

Still looking for great braking setup......

Some advice me to chage front to Type-R or BB6 disc
mine prefer ori EK4SiR or DC2Sir...... any comment?
coz, don't wanna change rim, still wanna stick with current rim (PCD 100/114.3) 4 lugs

Bigger discs = better braking power... it's all about the matter of how much stopping power you want versus how much engine power you have.

For me, driving a EK with the stock calipers on a friends ride only highlighted how the type-R/BB discs caliper setup are loads better.

Try driving a honda with an R-disc or Prelude BB disc setup and I'm sure you'll be thinking..

"I've got to have this!"

Oh, on another note.. Happy CNY to those celebrating.

I'm having a EK9 knuckle brake kit for 2K+ including installation, but you're a bit too far for that.. :P

change to ek9 brake system 5 lug but must change the rims together with 5 lug ek9 or dc2.

True.. but you'd be having access to weird and strange 5 lugs offsets.. which maybe a good or a bad thing.. :P

Anyway, I just like the looks of the 5 lugs.. sort of sets it apart from most of the other old school hondas on the road. In a way, the only attraction it draws is from people who know hondas and mod their cars for real, not plaster stickers all over their car with parts they don't have.. :P

I haven't seen an EF with 5 lugs yet.. but that guy will get my respect for having it, and managing to get it installed properly. (^_^)

just remove four bolt from your engine area to make up the extra weight of one bolt for each wheel.. wahahaha!
