Autofoam For Chassis

2nd2none u are rite. Once the foam is hardenen if u have any wire inside, it will be buried in there forever. So if anyone who is doing it, so gotta becareful.

Then are u interested still?

got the point also. then shall we confirm with the company on this point first? or issit a fact already?

sigh~~~ just wanna have a quieter ride thats all.

A stiffer chassis = more noise.. since when become quieter?

Can hear and feel everything.. even the slight 'benjol' on your tire can be felt.. :P

haha... good point made shiroitenshi, what i really meant was those proton free noise gift on their assembly of chassis that sux... i dun mind hearing tyre, engine and exhaust sound but not those "tik..tak...ngek..." sounds.

Shiro, point is very clear. But if for me I wud not mind a bit of the tyre sound. But getting a better stiffer chasis. So David wat wud u prefer? HAhahaha

to me tyre sound is acceptable, unless it does affect wiring in the car, otherwise its a GO for me.

So, anyone has done it already?

My main concern is not chassis stiffening... I'm more concern of noise reduction..

Road/tyre noise is my main issue..

Any feedback?

I have not done it but in my line of work, I have encountered similar type of foam. It should consist two parts and when mix together it will expand into the foam. Tear into you fridge door and sides.. the foam should be that type. It is quite strong and light hence the stiffening.. should reduce the noise too... I may DIY..
For noise reduction... I bought Tar Tape from the hardware shop. 2" wide 2mmthk. The stuff the use to patch leaking roof. Patch on my doors internal etc. OK lah.. much cheaper than those on the market. Some guys are selling on ZTH for around RM80/roll.. should be able to get it for RM50/roll from hardware shop.

Something out of the topic. I tried to install AutoGauge Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature Gauge on my EK B16A... Cannot lah... no place to put the sensor on the engine block... anyone can advise... otherwise have to drill hole on my engine block..

lets revisit the pricing, i think sport package is RM1.2k and ultimate package is RM1.9k...

cannot be that cheap ler...

Include 2 dr panels, 2 seatbelt panel & 2 winscreen panel.
b) The ultimate package is RM190

Btw i dirving Honda Civic EG (SR4).

that is because my friend called up and the asking price is another zero behind stated here... so i am doubt

Sorry I got it wrong. Dun mean 2 give wrong info. Then I guess the team member price is calling in then...:(

Bro 996, u mean u can actually know where to get the foam and u cud DIY pump it into the panel of the chasis? If u know where to source for the chemical pls let me know too...

Btw mind sharing whr is d hardware shop tht got those stuff???

Will check on the source if they sell in small quantities.. usually they do it for entire cold room. The teory is simple... any holes you have on the chassis etc open it up. then you poor in the foam thing... not too much as it may overexpand then let it foam up.

For the Tar Tape... go to a local hardware shop and ask then for Tar Tape for Patching RooF. They should have it especially those who cater to construction industry.

Anyway... Any advise on the GAUGE installation.... Oil Pressure and Oil Temp cannot install on B16A...
