the Dynojet Powercommander III i search online is for motorbike. it is because our engine is Yamaha, so also can use? what is its function? fuel control only?

Yes..Dynojet started with superbikes...but now they are being use in cars too..and have been in Malaysia for some time now.

what you mean by brash boy in above? is a workshop?

Brash Boys was a company in Japan that specialize in tuning, mods and aftermarket parts. They have the expertise to reprogramme aftermarket ECU's like the powerFC to suit certain types of cars like the 5AT Altezza.
But unfortunately, the company have since closed down....

Thanks. so what dynojet can do? do the same like power fc? seem like no, big difference in price.

since changing need cost so much, think i will stick to 5AT 1st.
i will try confirm with the workshop in singapore if Apexi Neo work on 5AT. then try lighten my car.

anyone here using D2 racing for Altezza?

@Altezza33: The Dynojet started out as a tool for motorbikes. But from there, they had R&D-ed the whole thing for cars. The one for our cars are not spec'ed for motorcycles.

Brashboy is someone from Japan that programs the Power FC specially for auto Altezzas.

Altezza33,

i will try confirm with the workshop in singapore if Apexi Neo work on 5AT ----> did u mean Apexi AFC Neo? yes. it works on 5AT. no problem.

since ATM only have a few choice of upgrade options compared with MTM, what is the good move for ATM user to increase the HP to....let say 250hp. oh, without adding turbo or supercharger.

possible?

wow. mohk u are expecting too much ler...
i read somewhere that toyota 3SG race engine in altezza can produce that 250hp
BUT i am guessing it with a COMPLETE BUILD-UP, piston, con-rod, head, cams, electricals,
exhaust, intake, ecu tuning... more than you can realistically do... and it is on MANUAL.
For AUTO.. i doubt it can, in NA form, even if can, you must have got a real fat bank account
to fund it.

Mokh..like mike said..first requirement is that you have lots of reserve in your bank account and wouldn't mind spending it to squeeze every possible HP from your engine...:adore:

IMHO..Turbocharging your car would be the fastest and cheaper alternative to add on more hp and torque to your ride...that is if your 250bhp is from the engine and not on wheel.
If you are looking at 250hp from wheel, then it would be 310hp from the engine..and that would mean you will also need to spend money for a complete engine rebuilt so that it can withstand the horsepower it needs to produce...coz our NA engine is rated at 200HP only.

I would suggest you target for 170-180bhp on wheel..which is possible by adding a piggyback ECU (PowerFC or HKS Vpro), headers, port & polish and maybe a low boost Turbo. But this gain will also depends on the condition of your current engine too.

mokh,
roughly the cost...
- engine porting & polishing - RM2k+-,
- engine balancing - RM5k+-,
- piggyback ECUs/Engine Mgmt System - RM1k++ (Apexi AFC Neo), RM1-2K (Dynojet
Power Commander)
- Aftermarket exhaust/muffler - HKS/Fujitsubo, etc...from RM200+- onwards (used) to
RMthousands (brand new)
- Aluminium Crank Shaft Pulley - C-one - RM1k++

and the list goes on..........

if u'r looking for suspension/chassis/brake upgrades...can look for me...hehe
SUPERPRO/CTECH/PRO RS :driver:

mokh,
u can also dump in the 1JZGTE, great engine with utmost reliability in its stock form.
the options are there in many forms, recommend a few flips through HyperREV magazines
to widen more on what the tuners and japs done (4throttles, TC, SC, TC+SC, 1JZ, 2JZ).
and if not because of rules and regulation of our RTD, u can even go until a rotary 20B, holden LS1-V8 (A supra downunder has it!!), RB26, etc....

hahahah... $$$$$$
enuf poison?

for me, i'd like to keep the car in its stock form to retain this bitch's reliability for the moment.
well, yes in its stock form it might not be a "very very powerful" car, it's good enuf for me and
not damaging much to my bank account... ;p

Basic Facts :

Common problems : Based on cars aged between 8 to 12 years old.

- E-Trottle : Need to service every second oil change. This is not costly around RM60.
- If you fail to keep it clean can result in failure which can cost up to 3K for new unit but can get used unit for a fraction of the price.
- O2 sensor : Subjective. Previous owner may changed it. It fail due to age. Once changed can last for many years.
- Oil leak near camshaft sensor. Cheap to replace the gasket.
- Suspension bushes. Again due to age. Pricing depend on which bushing changed.
- 2001 model onward the dashbord is sprayed with rubberised material which will melt overtime. The solution is remove the rubber and respray flat black.
- Aircon sometime will have a cricket sound after 6-8 years. Need to replace the actuator.

Hi guys, do you know the part number of "actuator" mention above? Thanks.

Changing my timing belt kit @ V.A Bangsar

Also requested them to flush my gearbox, the guy told me my gearbox oil filter very dirty, it cost RM3xx to change that filter.. didn't know that filter is so expensive ? @_@

Greytezza, i remember that adian did mention about emanage ultimate that better compared to his Vpro in term of user friendly.....and for EManage ultimate our ecu will not reset it back as the blue emanage, thanks to it ablility to loop the o2 sensor.......your opinion.

is the D2 durable? any problem until now?

what is your comment in term of handling

i also install all set of ultra racing bar except tower bar. set the D2 to front and rear also 18.
still feel not very stable when cornering. i thinking maybe is becos of tyre(using normal tyre).
wht is ur setting?

My opinion is that unless you are a professional tuner and knows what you are doing, I wouldn't advise you to D.I.Y when it comes to tweaking the ECU.
Yes..tuning of the HKS VPro ECU can only be done by a handful of authorized tuners but the functions and options available on the V Pro would outweigh the setback. The V Pro is proven but it is really expensive but will be a good initial investment if you are into serious power modding.
I have been using the PowerFC since I started seeking for more torque and HP for my car and it have not fail me yet. I would have gone with the V-Pro but my budget did not allowed me.

I know that the blue emanage is not suitable for our car, but as far as the Ultimate I have not heard of anything good or bad about it just that the price does not justify the functions and options it provides. You will need to talk to a tuner for more advise on that as I do not know much about it.

The PowerFc would also allow you to "shut out" the O2 sensor which I am doing on my car and I can also switch it back on again for recalibration of my idling with the handheld power commander.

I would suggest you to compare all the available functions the ecu offers against the price and then make your own judgement. At the end of the day, it will be the final decision and preference of the buyer to choose what he feel comfortable with....and the end results he is seeking IMHO.

so that is regular service? suspension need service one? how much it cost?

bro, the service depends on the condition of your shock...closely related to it performance, for mine i did replaced the o ring, bushing and did some smoothing on the shaft...and walla....as good as new.

it cost me around 1k for all 4 shock..
