Alpine 9853 doesnt show station's name

Actually not only this model but other models as well. Why is that ? Is this a common thing on alpine HUs ?
Even my old caplang sony can show the station's name (eg 92.9 = hitz , if u didnt get wat i meant) . Is there any way i can make the HU show the name ?

Buy a Malayisan make HU, sure you can get.. I using Pioneer 5750 also don't have.

Only the HU with RDS (Radio Data System - if i m not mistaken) can automatically display the station name. For Alpine model u can store radio station name by selecting the radio frequency and then pressing the title button. After that u need to enter the station name by pressing the knob to select the character.

yalah, my 9853 also like tat mah....set urself 1...but only can put alphabat only nia....no number...

I think u can set number also la.. even lower n upper case also can set by pressing the band button. Mine 1 can set la... but up to 8 character only
