Alex Yoong detail...

i raced with him recently in gokarts, and he wasnt too shabby at all.. he gave me a hell of tough time cos his skill in defensive manoevres is very high.. he wasnt as quick cos he never drove the track before, but he still put up on hell of a fight on all of us karters who raced him at the time.. and i believe last year, or 2003, he thrashed all the porsche drivers at macau, including sum of the champions from around the world.. so i believe he is one of the greatest drivers of this time.. but maybe not good enuf to be able to compete with the current f1 drivers...

plus u hav to give him credit, because he started racing here in malaysia, and at the time there were no good races around, and not much competition, yet he still managed to make it all the way to f1(yes i noe there were politics involved), and that is amazing..

not to forget he as the first ever chinese F1 driver having a huge fan base in china.

Please enlight me which race that Alex Yoong's performane better than Mark Webber?

You have to watch the races.... not just the results. At both indy and suzuka(if i recall correctly) he was matching or beating Mark on pace during the races. [/b][/quote]
BoatOwner,

I did watch both races (on TV). He did have a better racing pace in Japan Suzuka. He did overtook Mark Webber before he spun off...

Guess no point argue here, coz so many hidden point that you and me can't see it on TV, like refueling tactic and etc. And we all know tha ablet finish the race is 1 big great achievement for Minaldi.
