Accord SV4 change from auto to manual

Hi Guys,

I'm driving an Accord SV4 1996 2.0 Automatic. Its really a fanstatic car in
most ways. My only complain would be the fuel consumption. The full tank
about 50 litres is about RM 80 plus and i get about 400 to 450 km milleage
on the average with mostly highway driving.

I'm seriously considering doing either 2 of the below:

1) Upgrade my current 2.0 Ef(i) engine to a H22a DOHC VTEC engine OR
2) Change my current engine to a 2.0 VTEC manual engine

Which of the 2 is more adviseable to get better fuel consumption? I
appreciate anyone's feedback. Please do let me know the answers belows as well:

1) How much would a H22A DOHC VTEC engine cost and where can i get it from?
2) Is there any place i can get the 2.0 VTEC manual engine? If yes, how
much would it cost?
