Aside from their excellent bikes, KTM has been making a name in the four-wheeled world with their radical creations of roofless track day toys like the X-Bow. Produced in many variants along the years, the Austrian manufacturer had recently collaborated with Reiter Engineering in coming up with a more extreme version that will see action in future races.

Dubbed as the X-Bow GT4, this new model will feature a “completely redesigned exterior” that is “state-of-the-art”.  There is no doubt on the “redesigned exterior” part as the X-Bow now has an enclosed cockpit, a new carbon fiber splitter, and a new rear wing.

The X-Bow GT4 will be powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine making out about 320BHP, mated to a six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters. If all goes according to plan, this new race machine will be eligible to compete in both the SRO GT4 and Pirelli World Challenge GT-S classes.

“Since the new car is based on the KTM X-Bow, the customer is going to get a racing car that has now been tested on the world’s racing circuits for six years,” said Hans Reiter, owner of Reiter Engineering.

“When you reflect on what the customer is being offered here in terms of the most modern racing technology, together with a very impressive safety concept, then you can really speak about it being exceptionally good value for money,” he added.
