Infiniti Collaborates with Red Bull, turning the G37 Coupe into a Track Machine

The Infiniti G37 is an elegant looking coupe that might not look that intimidating since the brand in mainly associated to luxury lifestyle. But somehow Infiniti wanted to change that mind set and gives a set of fangs to the coupe by turning it into a very capable G37 Coupe Track Car, which is definitely not a push-over.

Partnering with Red Bull Racing to bring race-inspired technology to its production cars, the G37 now has received a serious dosage of steroids to make it fit being on the track. The track car is a performance enhanced prototype vehicle and had recently made its track debut at no other than the Nordschleife in Germany.

Taking the new G37 track car around the Green Hell was Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal, Christian Homer. The car will also be used for demonstrations, passenger rides and displays at Infiniti events.

Under the hood lies a 3.7-liter V6 engines that produces 333-horsepower and 294 lb-ft of torque. Rolling on custom 18-inch O.Z. Racing Superleggera whels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero rubbers, the car also features adjustable suspension, carbon fiber rear wing and diffuser, custom made exhaust, no electronic driving aids, double racing seats with five-point safety belts, racing brakes, and an FIA-certified roll cage.
