Good to see you guys have fun!! Yup lets do something this week. Small get together after work.

It was good seeing the RX-7 up there with us as well as the other cars from the Mazda club. There was even one turbocharged Mazda 6 (previous gen).

Today I learned that my stock 6MT clutch couldn't take the punishment of going up Genting Highlands if driven hard all the way up.

Was also worried when my idling was above normal when we reached Genting Highlands. Could it be that our rotary engines idle higher than normal when high up above sea level?

Anyway, the drive down was even more fun and faster.

when air gets thinner( lesser air density= lesser air mass)due to elevation, the engine will theoritically has lesser compression load thus letting the engine revs higher than normal( of course it's because the engine has been tuned at different elevation of sea level; i.e; the engine air/fuel tuning would be different if tuned at different level above the sea level)

But, it's only a slight change because the ECU will normally had tolerances setted for air with different densities, pressures, temps etc.

The turbo system will have the same concept too, i.e to get 1 bar of boost in genting, the turbo has to spool faster than it does in Klang valley.

This is theoritical opinions.

Thnaks and enjoy ur revs!!!

Sunday susah lah joewe. weekday i straight can go and meet up!
