1t’s here now. BMW’s newest hot hatch, the M135i xDrive arrives Malaysia. Leaving its RWD roots for a recently introduced front wheel drive platform, this 300hp A35 challenger fights head to head with an equally competitive 4WD propulsion.

Power comes from the famed B48 2L 4 cylinder twin scroll turbo engine, which in the M35i tune produces 306hp / 450nm. Drivetrain wise, the M135i xDrive gets a new torsen LSD and an 8 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Chassis wise, the The M135i rides on M Sport mechanical suspension all round. Then, large front M Sport brakes sit behind 19″ V Spoke style 557 wheels painted in M Bicolour.

Inside, the bright cockpit theme is aptly termed ‘illuminated Boston’ paired with Leather Dakota upholstery. There’s the M Sport steering, electric front sport seats and seat belts signifying it contains ///M dna.

Colours: Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Misano Blue, Mineral Grey or Melbourne Red

it's only natural to not like the new BM direction, can be traumatic, but I for one am quite liking the big grille

I would say on the bigger SUV, the big nose at least matches the car size, on smaller sedan like it is too big....

I will pick the A35 AMG over this, all day, every day. The cabin is just much nicer to be in. And the car looks nicer overall.

how should I describe. The Mercedes still has a more refined elegance over this. Relatively, the BMW is more boy racer compared to Mercedes.
