check your engine, transmission, exhaust first. Don waste money yet on 6mt gearbox.
when i start driving daihatsu charade g11, 3 cylinder, 4mt only, can reach 110-120kmh. Stock engine.

Hi all can i ask if the above problem is due to gearbox problem or is there any other cause? Thank you in advance.

Can be gearbox and can be engine not in good condition anymore, not optimum power. What year and how many km already traveled on this car? Is it still in std condition or have done some mods or how?

I don't think there is 6mt gearbox on Myvi.

Sometimes cars not run in properly will have less power to achieve top speed......

year 07 mileage about 150k , tested the car when stock . just done major service and change the extractor, bullet, catalytic, n sflow, some bars. still abit hard to cross 120km/h.

6mt on myvi got i saw a post at zth that one myvi owner use 6 speed gear from ae111 blacktop 6 speed then use back the ori housing.

Maybe need to do carbon cleaning to clean up the fuel system, intake manifold, and combustion chamber. When servicing also should check your AFR, is it running too rich or lean. So this is a manual car also?

you do major works on exhaust system itself. If Engine cant breath properly, car performance affected.
What major service you've done, btw.

What sort of exhaust work did you do? 120 is pretty impossibly low.

engine oil, gearbox oil, throttle bodycleaner , fuel injection n valve cleaner, ori air filter, iridium spark plug all done when doing major service n mine is auto

i done major exhaust changing because when i get the car the car rpm cant go smoothly a bit laggy. i think the stock exhaust is stuck n extractor gasket was worn out.

4-1 extractor (alloy) , hi-flow catalytic and swirl bullet (kent wong exhaust) , custom s-flow (jian hang)
still using stock exhaust pipe will it be the cause of stock exhaust size

not gearbox problem...

its either your engine not running properly....

or u expect myvi got some tebo power to accelerate over 140 easily

Pomen, you have the 1.0 what. Our 1.3 and 1.5 lagi senang to reach 140. Just need a long road.

not expecting accelerate like a turbo la but smoothly not needing to floor it....

It's a 1.3 auto. You need to floor a little to get to 140. How much was your RPM when you hit 120?

engine not running properly in terms of which part

What engine oil weight are you using? By right stock is 5w30.

Whats the rpm when u think hardly to reach 120kph

Good question!

I have same problem.

my 2010 Suzuki SX4 can go past 160km/h, although it takes a while to get to that speed.
last year I change my battery to NS60 equivalent (SX4 use NS70), and suddenly it gets very hard to get past 160km/h.

Is this somewhat related to changing battery? I also change the spark plugs to more expensive one, recommended by mechanic, i dunno the brand of the spark plug.

110-120km/h, rpm at 4-5k n the car feel a bit heavy at that time. engine oil i think is addinol semi synthetic forget what already
