Ferrari reveals their new and vulgar LaFerrari FXXK with 1021BHP!

It was supposed to make its world debut next weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, but it seems that Ferrari is so eager to share their latest creation to the world that an early preview seems necessary. The XX version of the LaFerrari has been spied a couple of times and there have been numerous renderings on the net, visualizing how it will look like. Visualize no more as Ferrari had recently shared the extreme version of their latest hypercar.

Before you start thinking that we are messing around, this is what Ferrari actually calls this new machine; the LaFerrari FXXK. While it does seems like the widely used expletive word, there is actually an explanation behind this eyebrow-raising name. FXX is practically Ferrari’s XX programme and the K refers to KERS or Kinetic Energy Recovery System which is still in place in the FXXK.

The LaFerrari already has a combined output of 950bhp which can simply be described as a lot. But typical to the XX programme nature, a tad more power would not hurt as they fiddled with the 6.3-liter V12 engine to produce 835bhp and 188bhp from the electric motors, totalling to a combined output of 1021bhp and 664 lb-ft of torque.

And power is not the only chapter where the XX programme focuses as they put a lot of effort in fine tuning the aerodynamics. Basically a race-inspired version of the LaFerrari, the FXXK gets a new spoiler and a massive splitter that is 30mm lower than the one on the road-going model. The rear features a twin-pronged fixed spoiler and a secondary unit that can be extended on the move. Ferrari said that this configuration has helped improve downforce by 50-percent, resulting in the FXXK producing 540kg of downforce at 200km/h.

Running on Pirelli P-Zero rubber, the job of taming the beast is handed over to a set of Brembo’s carbon-ceramic brakes. The FXXK’s traction control, Side Slip Angle Control and electronic differential have been specially calibrated to suit the tires, and the ABS can be adjusted by the driver via the switches on the steering wheel.

If you think the LaFerrari is expensive, the FXXK is expected to be priced at USD 3 million (RM 10,344,000), and keep in mind that you will not be able to drive the car everyday as Ferrari will be the one keeping it. So, between this and the McLaren P1 GTR, which one do you fancy the most?
