To qualify for the prestigious IIHS Top Safety Pick Award, vehicles need to score good ratings in 5 crashworthiness tests where it involves Small Overlap Front, Moderate Overlap Front, Side, Roof Strength and Head Restraints. Then the vehicles also gets rated for advanced or superior rating for front crash protection and an acceptable or good headlight rating. In a recent IIHS test, 7 Hyundai vehicles were rated and received commendable IIHS recognitions.
