Happy 2016 people! And here is another reason to be excited in this New Year; Pagani had recently released a teaser image of their hardcore Huayra and needless to say, it really does stir our curiosity. The chatter on this new Huayra however is not a new thing as we have seen a couple of videos showing a prototype Huayra on the track with some new aerokits on board.
But for the time being, this single teaser image is the only thing Pagani is releasing. There is no name, power output, weight reduction moves, the lot. However, there are claims that this will be called the Huayra S, but we’ll just wait from Pagani to reveal the real name of this monster.
Perhaps the biggest change seen compared to the ‘usual’ Huayra is that massive wing sitting at the back of the car. Aside from that towering carbon fiber wing, it has also gained a more aggressive rear diffuser, suggesting that this might just be built for track days in mind. The addition of the wing however does not take out the active aero from the Huayra as the flaps can still be seen in the picture.
Back in the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, company founder Horacio Pagani said that they will only be making 20 of these hardcore Huayras and only be made available to existing Huayra owners. The Huayra comes with a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG exclusively for the car. Pushing out 730-horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque, zerotohundred takes only 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 370km/h.
