Positioned right underneath the C63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz had recently unveiled the new C450 AMG Sport that will go against rivals like the Audi S4 and BMW’s 335i M Sport. This new model is set to make its debut at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show and will come in both sedan and estate bodystyles.
Underneath the hood is a AMG-tuned version of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that pushes out 362-horsepower at 5,500rpm and 382 lb-ft of torque between 2,000rpm and 4,200rpm. The engine is mated to a modified 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes’ 4Matic four-wheel drive system. It comes with a zerotohundred time of 4.9 seconds for the sedan and 5.0 for the estate. Both versions are limited to a 250km/h top speed.
It also features upgraded suspension, braking system and electronic driving aids, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The C450 AMG also gets a sportier exterior with redesigned bumpers, a black exterior trim which includes the mirror caps, darkened lights, quad exhaust tips, a boot lid spoiler for the sedan and a roof spoiler for the estate.
