In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Mercedes-Benz’s class win at the Mille Miglia road race back in 1955, the automaker has revealed a new limited-edition version of their seventh generation SL. This new two seater roadster adopts the start number 417 worn by the factory-prepped SL which was piloted by US driver John Finch. The 417 Mille Miglia comes as standard with a magnetite metallic paint scheme. However, buyers do have the option to choose between three optional colours: night black magna, cashmere white magna matt and diamond white.

The car also gets some styling changes such as the red accents on the front and rear bumpers, red brake calipers and red surrounds on the alloy wheels to match it. The interior also gets a couple of touches where the red accents continue with some carbon fiber-look trims, red and black leather seats, trims and steering. The headrests are given 417 Mille Miglia insignias embroidered in them.

Both of them will get the adaptive damping as standard, while the Active Body Control will be available as an optional extra. Only 500 of such examples will ever roll out from Mercedes-Benz’s production lines.
