Hyundai reveals their new 2016 i20 WRC!

Volkswagen might be the dominant force in the current World Rally Championship but that does not mean other manufacturers will be giving up just yet. Entering the scene two seasons ago, Hyundai recently revealed their new contender for the 2016 season which is based on the i20 sold worldwide.

The new i20 WRC is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired up to a six-speed sequential gearbox sending the power to all four wheels. The car had done more than 5,000 miles of testing and it had proved itself faster than the predecessor. Aside from being faster, team drivers also praise the reliability it offers as well.

The 2016 i20 WRC was presented at a special event at Hyundai WRC’s headquarters over in Alzenau, Germany. Drivers Dani Sordo, Hayden Paddon and Thierry Neuville will be battling all 14 rounds of the 2016 season.
