Being one of the hottest hot hatches around, the guys at Renault had come out with a new Megane facelift called the Ultimate Edition and it is catered specifically for the French. Starting with a price tag of €25,700 (RM 105,828), the Ultimate is €2,000 (RM 8,235) more expensive from the Intens trim level, but it comes with a whole lot more goodies.
For starters, it comes with two engine choices. One is the Energy TCe 130 turbocharged petrol engine, and the other is the Energy dCi 130 diesel, both mated to a six-speed manual transmission which comes as standard. Renault says that the Megane coupe lineup “marks the end of summer” with the Ultimate, which is based on the earlier mentioned Intens specs.
The Intens model comes with dual-zone auto climate control, cruise control and speed limiter, rear parking, rain and light sensors, handsfree entry and starting, adjustable driver’s seat, tinted rear glass and a steering wheel wrapped in leather. The Ultimate also comes with a fixed glass sunroof, Renault’s R-LINK system with satellite navigation and connected services, 18-inch gloss black Serdard wheels, electrically folding mirrors, leather upholstery and heated front seats, aluminium pedals, Ultimate badges and Black Lacquer cabin trimming details.
