Mercedes had recently launched a special edition of the new A45 AMG at the 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon. Dubbed as the Petronas Green Edition, this version of the A45 AMG is based on the Edition 1 and built as a tribute to the Petronas oil company, Mercedes-Benz’s major sponsor in Formula 1.
Designed specifically by AMG Performance Studio, the dashes of greens seen on this limited-run car is the highlight of the Petronas Green Edition. From the outside, the model is distinguished by green highlights on the front splitter, canards and rims. Bearing a Cirrus White exterior paint, the sides of the car are also splashed with green graphics and carbon fiber side mirrors.
The interior also gets a similar treatment where the green detailing goes all the way to the steering wheel, seats, door sill plates, paddle shifters, gear shifter and the air vent bezels. While it is still powered by the four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 360-horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, production of the Petronas Green Edition will be limited to 30 units only.
But before you get all excited in getting one of these, we should remind you that the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Petronas Green Edition is available exclusively for the Japanese market only.
