Adding another ultra-high end name under their belt, the NAZA Group of Companies is proud to welcome the Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg to enter Malaysia with the launch of NAZA Swedish Motors Sdn Bhd. Running as a subsidiary company, NAZA Swedish Motors will act as the official distributor of Koenigsegg cars not only for Malaysia but also Indonesia.
Present at the launch of NAZA Swedish Motors in the NAZA World Automall, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, were Datuk Wira Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman, NAZA Group of Companies, Christian von Koenigsegg, Founder of Koenigsegg, His Excellency Mr Bengt G. Carlsson, Ambassador of Sweden to Malaysia and Andreas Petre’, Director-Head of Sales of Koenigsegg.

NAZA Swedish Motors is the only Koenigsegg franchisee in the world, out of a total of 15 worldwide, which has been allocated the rights to distribute Koenigsegg models into two countries, namely Malaysia and Indonesia.
The Agera S, which means “to take action” in Swedish, is powered by a 5.0-liter biturbo V8 engine that pushes out a colossal output of 1,030-horsepower at 7,100rpm and 1,100Nm of torque at 4,100rpm. This massive power is then transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch paddleshift transmission, which is also the world’s first ever dual-clutch system designed for a single input shaft gearbox-combo.
The whole engine package, including the clutch, flywheel, dry sump system and Inconel manifold system (including two turbochargers) weighs just 197kg, while the transmission only weighs 81kg. With the body being made out of lightweight pre-impregnated carbon fiber/Kevlar, the whole car tips the scales at just 1,415kg.
Combining the massive power with a lightweight body, the Agera S is able do a zerotohundred in a swift 2.9 seconds, 0-200 in just 7.8 seconds, and top speed is well over 400km/h. 0-300-0km/h could be dealt in just 22.7 seconds, thanks to the 6 ceramic pistons 392x40mm ventilated and drilled ceramic discs at the front and 4-piston calipers and 380x34mm discs at the back.
The Triplex rear suspension system, invented by Christian von Koenigsegg himself, comprises of a shock absorber and spring connecting to the left and right rear wheels, allowing the spring and damping rates of the car to be lowered. This enables the car to have better ride comfort and great handling on rough and wet surfaces. Gripping the Agera S to the road are a set of Michelin Super Sport tires developed specifically for the car to withstand high Gs and the high speeds the car is capable of.
The Koenigsegg Agera S is expected to be priced around RM 5 million before taxes.
