Before buying a car, most of us will be conducting their own in-depth research to find out whether the car they will be buying is any good to their specifications and not to forget going for test drives. But apparently such rules does not apply to everyone as Honda UK had recently started to take orders for the new and unveiled Civic Type R, and needless to say people had been flocking to Honda to ensure they get first dibs.
After all the teasers and concepts, Honda had still yet to fully reveal the production version of their highly-anticipated Civic Type R. But that certainly is not a barrier for the petrolheads to place their orders as they can now place an order for the turbocharged FF machine with a deposit of £3,000 (RM 16,155).
While we are more than aware that Honda is aiming to top the ‘Fastest Production FF around the ‘Ring’ with this new Type R, they are keeping a tight lip about the details of the production model, other than it will closely resemble the concept that debuted at the Paris Motor Show earlier this year. This means that the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine will produce more than 280PS, allowing it to “deliver unmatched performance compared to any previous Type R car”.
