Apparently the unveiling of the new BMW M4 DTM Championship Edition is just the beginning of BMW’s celebration of them grabbing the 2014 DTM Driver’s and Constructor’s championships. To further celebrate this great occasion, BMW proceeded to unveil another special edition and this time it is based on the 1-Series.
Dubbed as the BMW 1 Series DTM Sports Edition, this new special edition is dedicated to celebrate Marco Wittman and his 2014 DTM Championship. This new version will also be replacing the usual M Sport package that will be discontinued from November 2014 onwards. This will benefit the customers who had ordered the 1-Series with the M Sport package regardless of the engine as they will enjoy a price cut up to 2,900 Euros (RM 12,130).
The M Sport package equips the 1-Series with 18-inch star-spoke style 386 M light alloy wheels, xenon headlights and a high-gloss black interior trim. Visually, there are not much difference between the 1 Series DTM Sport Edition from the M Sport package, but the main selling point here is the price advantage.
