The last Lamborghini Gallardo rolls off the production line – NO! Seriously.. this is the last one!

Remember the time when Lamborghinis were so rare that finding a four-leaf clover would have been easier? Well when the Germans took over, they managed to revolutionise the brand; making it into one of the most successful premium supercar badge in the industry. How did they do it? With the Gallardo of course. First launched in 2003, it has counted for almost half of the total production number since the company was founded in 1963 and production has finally seized to make way for its replacement. What you see in the picture is the last Gallardo that will ever be made!

Unit number 14,022 is presented in one of the most aggressive and extreme versions of the baby Lambo – the Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performanté. The Performanté is essentially an open-top version of the track biased Superleggera and this very unit, composed in Rosso Mars is destined for a private collector who will soon get his ride (or probably after this picture was taken..).

This version is powered by a 5.2-litre normally aspirated V10, which churns out a maximum output of 562bhp and 540nm of torque. Weighing only a featherlight 1,485 kg (145kg heavier than the Superleggera), it sprints from Zerotohundred in 3.4 seconds and will speed all the way to a top speed of 201mph (324 km/h). We know for a fact that this car is no slouch and will remain as one of the best SuperSports cars of the time.

In the 10 years of production, the Gallardo became the company’s most commercially successful model ever since it was founded, pushing from the annual production number of 200 units to 2000 units per year. Since then, the Gallardo has had so many different variations and has confused the market for the past decade. Taking a peek into the future, the replacement will be launched next year is destined to be named – the Lamborghini Cabrera.
