The Audi RS5 receives Stage III Supercharging system from McChip-dkr

The Audi RS5 is no slouch but its normal aspiration limits the car’s modding possibilities. Although 450 odd horses may be enough for most of us but there are a few out there who require just a little bit more than that. The V8 banks in Audis are strategically designed for tuners to built a bolt-on Supercharger kit and yes! Scramming a Supercharger kit should suffice many speed demons out there.

Famous for chip-tuning – McChip-dkr is not the first company to produce a Supercharger kit for the 4.2-litre V8 but most tuning has only returned figures circa 520bhp. McChip-dkr however has released a Stage III tuning for their system that promises a whopping figure of 592bhp and 589nm. Mcchip explains that their car will be electronically limited to 199mph (320km/h) and a Zerotohundred time of 3.4 seconds. The company is confident that this tuning system will be the ultimate system for the 4.2-litre V8 RS engine – and will definitely attract owners who had always wanted more power from their RS4 and RS5.

McChip-dkr is offering a 3 stage system – depending on what the customer requires for their car. Ranging from 543bhp to 592bhp, you have a choice to choose from a Stage 1 kit that will give an increase from 444bhp to 543bhp for $27,000. The stage 2 kit will offer an increase of 128bhp from stock for $32,400 and the full blown 592bhp Stage 3 package for $36,400. All the packages includes the Supercharger kit, upgraded intercooler and McChip-dkr upgraded ECU tuning remapping.

The RS4 and RS5 engines are very likely to be faced out by Audi eventually – with everything going turbocharging. But for those who can’t wait, this is your fix!
