While in Saudi Arabia, the Police get Chased by You!

If you have yet heard of the “In Soviet Russia…” jokes, it basically reverses the role of both the subject and object in a statement. So in this situation, maybe we could change it a bit to “In Saudi Arabia, the police get chased by you”.

In a land where everywhere you look is covered with sand, there is not much for one to do to fill up the excess time that one has. So some of them turn up on the streets in large groups and do pretty much whatever they please, like how we have observed earlier in the form of “Hagwalah” or the Saudi Drifting Phenomenon if you are not familiar with the term.

Of course, such activities are far from being welcomed by the authorities, and they do impose a non-compromising punishment to those found guilty like the drifter who was to be beheaded for causing the deaths of two bystanders. But from this footage, it does not seem that they have learnt a lesson from such stern action taken as they do not only defy the law, they chase them away.

As seen in this video, a police car arrives at a gathering of these crazy Middle-Eastern street drifters, which is most probably to disperse the crowd and bring some law and order back to the streets. But instead of dispersing away like how any street racers in the world would usually do, the hunter suddenly becomes the hunted as the crowd suddenly turned hostile and chased the Toyota Camry police cruiser away!

Maybe the police department down at Saudi Arabia should keep a note to always come in large numbers to confront these guys as they clearly shown no fear towards the authorities. It is either that, or probably the usage of an Armored Personnel Carrier would do the trick?
