Ferrari Teases Enzo-Successor

If you love all things coming from a certain Italian Marque that has a ‘Prancing Horse’ for its logo, then you should know by now that there’s a little teaser about Ferrari’s upcoming Enzo successor, supposedly packing in a great deal of F1 knowledge into this particular breed with the main goal of height and wheelbase reduction just to match their Ferrari 458 Italia.

None other than Rory Byrne, Ferrari’s F1 designer, has supposedly spent three years developing the chassis, and with that amount of time spent by someone who’s been involved with 11 years of world championships, surely something great will soon emerge – probably a chassis that’ll compose of different types of carbon fibre to be cured in an autoclave, much like how an F1 monocoque is made – best for weight reduction and increasing all-round rigidity in order to surpass the Enzo’s.

Behind the monocoque will reside much the fuel tank, battery and engine – much like an F1 car, with a bespoke cockpit as outlined by its driver, including a made-to-measure seat for the driver in a fixed position – the steering wheel and pedal box will be adjustable to accommodate other drivers. To add a more racy feel, Ferrari will ensure that your feet’s position will be at the same level as the driving position, while seat’s back will be angled quite substantially – Almost like how an F1 driver is seated.

Enough about cabins and comfort levels, more importantly it’s what’s going to power you out of corners, with Ferrari supposedly taking some steps to better their 6.3L 740bhp V12 engine that’s currently found in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, which will find itself equipped with the latest HY-KERS as well as a double-clutch transmission.

This new powertrain will get the Enzo-successor from standstill to 190kmh significantly quicker, bring emissions down by a whopping 40% and will have improved torque vectoring and brake force distribution to boot for this unknown Enzo-successor for the moment.
