Facelifted 2013 Honda CR-Z Debuts at the Indonesia International Motor Show

With the Paris Motor Show being just around the corner, the facelifted CR-Z was thought to have its debut at the most anticipated motor show of the year. Instead, it came out a bit early and took the spotlight at the 2012 Indonesia International Motor Show going on this 20th – 30th September at the Jakarta International Expo.

The most obvious feature that sets apart the previous model with the 2013 model is the set of LED running lights installed below the headlights. The front bumper also received some updated features where it houses a couple of redesigned fog lamps, front grille, and a revamped diffuser fitting in the rear bumper. Other changes also include new door mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, and some brand new color codes. The one making an appearance over here is finished in a paint called “Premium Energetic Yellow”.

The interior had also received a couple of touches, where the seat fabrics are now available in a new two-tone black and red. The instrument panels tachometer now has three different illumination colors that change according to the drive mode chosen (blue for Normal, red for Sport and green for ECON).

Under the hood, the CR-Z still runs on the same 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist Hybrid technology, with the six-speed manual outputting 120-hp at 6,600 rpm and 118-hp for the CVT. Even so, the new CR-Z gets a bit of a tweak in the performance department where it now has a Plus Sport System that offers a more performance-oriented response, accessible through the S+ button. We might not have that much detail about this new feature for the time being, but we will be bringing them up to you once they are released by Honda themselves in the near future.
