Subaru and Cosworth create 395hp monster STI

The world of sports cars and supercars is about to get shook up with this monster thanks to the partnership between Subaru and Cosworth. This special edition, dubbed the CS400, will be limited to only 75 units and performance is said to be thrilling.

News sources have confirmed that official figures stand at 395bhp made at 5,750rpm, that’s 99 horses more than the standard STI’s 296bhp. The sprint time is said to stand at 3.7 seconds but top speed has not been mentioned.

Helping to ensure the 75 units don’t end up as scrap metal (some definately will), stopping power is provided by a bespoke brake package that includes six-pot callipers and 355mm discs at the front. The entire braking system was co-developed with AP Racing, a well known brand that supplies brake and clutch components to some Formula one teams.

A number of other technical changes, including suspension and exhaust upgrades were made. The exterior and interior also experienced modifications. Further details will be available closer to the date of sale. For now these teaser images are all we have.
