As part of a local celebration for Ducati’s 90<sup>th</sup> Anniversary, Next Bike Sdn Bhd – the sole importer and distributor of Ducati motorcycles in Malaysia – has announced the launch of 5 new 2016 models to the local market; Ducati Superbike 959 Panigale, Ducati Monster 1200 R, Ducati Hypermotard 939, Ducati XDiavel, Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro.

The launch was an event running up to the 2016 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix scheduled at the Sepang International Circuit this week from Oct 28 to Oct 30. Celebrating its 90 years of passion for performance, Ducati has started off the celebration at the symbolic Sala Rossa of the City Hall of Bologna, Italy.

Ducati 959 Panigale



For 2016, the 959 Panigale has evolved into an even more versatile ‘Supermid’ model. It shares the same innovative features that characterize its bigger brother, the 1299 Panigale, but with an engine designed for more enjoyable everyday riding as well as more thrills on the race track.



Its new 959 cc engine is the first Superquadro to earn Euro 4 type-approval, features a new stroke length and other innovations to deliver a more impressive torque curve and increased power output. Power is now rated at 157hp at 10,500rpm.



Weighing only 176kg dry, the 959 Panigale is constructed around the innovative monocoque frame; giving an outstanding power-to-weight ratio and enhanced agility. The bike also comes with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Riding Mode technology, triple-stage Bosch ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), and Engine Brake Control (EBC).

The new Ducati 959 Panigale is retailed at RM99,999 OTR inclusive of GST.

Ducati Monster 1200 R



Designed for those who make performance riding their lifestyle, the new Ducati Monster 1200 R is here, and it’s the most powerful and sophisticated addition to Monster family.



Powered by a 1200cc Testastretta DS R version twin-cylinder engine, the Monster 1200 R takes the Ducati naked sports bike concept to the extreme. Compared to the 1200 S engine, this 1200 R delivers 10% more power and 5.5% more torque, at 160hp and 132Nm respectively.



The R spirit is also recognizable from its redesigned, compact, lightweight and high-slung tailpiece, seat and high-mounted plate holder. There are engraved R logo on its nose fairing and radiator trim and is available in two colour schemes; Ducati Red and Thrilling Black.



For more grip and lean angles, the Monster 1200 R gets a pair of 200/55 x ZR17 Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres. The suspension is also new, and Ohlins steering damper enhances its racing-inspired riding experience.

The new Ducati Monster 1200 R is retailed at RM139,999 OTR inclusive of GST.

Ducati Hypermotard 939



The Hypermotard 939 – also available in Hypermotard 939 SP and Hyperstrada 939 – offer pure excitement on any terrain and originates from the Supermotard world but with an extra dose of versatility and performance.



The new Euro 4 certified 937cc Testastretta 11 engine produces 113hp and over 10% increase of torque over the previous version. The new engine is now equipped with an oil cooler, to guarantee top performance and extra reliability in demanding conditions.



Built in the iconic Hypermotard signature steel tube Trellis frame, the Hypermotard received Ducati Safety Pack which includes a 2-level ABS (Hypermotard 939 and Hyperstrada 939) and a 3-level ABS (Hypermotard 939 SP), 8-level Ducati Traction Control and 3 Riding Modes.

Hypermotard 939 SP – 178kg dry weight, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres, gets new SP colour scheme with red Trellis frame

The new Ducati Hypermotard 939 is retailed at RM70,999 OTR inclusive of GST.

Ducati XDiavel



The new Ducati XDiavel brings together two worlds; the cruiser world – low speeds, relaxed riding, long journeys and feet forward ergonomics, and Ducati world – characterized by Italian style, refined engineering and unparalleled performance.

5,000, 60, 40 – the 3 numbers that resembles the XDiavel concept.



5,000 – The rpm where the twin-cylinder engine achieves maximum torque, 128Nm, designed for cruising. Yet the engine remains a Ducati engine after all, with maximum power of 156hp.



60 – The total combination of different ergonomic configurations for the rider. The XDiavel features 4 different foot rest positions, 5 different seats and 3 different handlebars.



40 – This is the maximum lean angle of the XDiavel. Its frame, suspension and brakes have been redesigned to maximize sports-style riding. The XDiavel is also the first Ducati to employ belt-type final transmission. The setup is engineered for reliability and secured transmission while maintaining the Cruiser spirit.



Other equipment includes full LED light assemblies, Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit, as well as safety features like Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Riding Mode, Bosch Cornering ABS, Cruise Control and the innovative Ducati Power Launch (DPL).



The new Ducati XDiavel is retailed at RM135,999 OTR inclusive of GST.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro



The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro is built to handle the stress and strain of off-road riding. Equipped with spoked wheels - 19-inch up front and 17-inch at the rear – and electronic semi-active Sachs suspension, the Multistrada is packed with features for long distance riding, along with 30-litre fuel tank, capable of over 450km.



Riding assists include Bosch-developed Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Cornering ABS, Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evolution. Also, the first time on a Ducati, is the Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) has made its debut into the Multistrada.



To further aid the rider in long distance riding, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro received Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) that enables the rider to connect the bike to a smartphone and manage key functions such as incoming calls, text messaging and music via the switchgear and TFT display screen.

Comes with 3 different colours (Ducati Red, Phantom Grey and Star White Silk), the Ducati Multistrada 120 Enduro is retailed at RM129,999 OTR inclusive of GST.

Still must be rich to buy these bikes leh! Poor blokes like me would not even think to buy these bikes coz I'd buy a car instead!
That is why I mentioned bike enthusiast. I have a friend who don't have a car but got super bike.....lol

I really need a favor.. Would be glad if anyone can help me out here.. A real pening kepala case. I have a perdana sei which was converted to Mit. eterna v6 n/a.

The engine kaput already so last week i sent for another change of engine. This time i bought original perdana v6 (brand new) engine. The foreman did all that was necessary and pasang semula evrtg.

The problem now is we cant seem to start the engine. Since the engine is...
