is the OBIT necessary for non siemen ecu cars?

yes deacon it is....it doenst function as a standalone....only as a piggyback....so u still must have ur factory fitted ecu and the obit works OVER AND ABOVE the mmc ecu.

gti-r : correct me if i m wrong, emanage is 16 bit application where else obit is 32bit.
furthermore the first batches of the SC kit were using emanage...however due to constraint on the emanage, obit was chosen to ensure tuneability when u proceed to stage 2...and later stage 3.
