hello.
i've noticed that most tints that cut off UV are clear (like vkool, rikecool suncool etc.) while most of the black tints , like the 60% black, 80%, 100%.. cut off a good amount of light, but the heat can still be felt.

anyone knows any brand of black tints that cut off a healthy amount of UV light? or better yet, anyone using such a black tint?

I believe there are films that does do their work and does cut off some of the visible light, but have to fork out more money for that. Good things doesn't come cheap.

Its the same reason why you shouldn't put curtain on your windows and put those stupid mickey mouse sun shade at the rear screen. People can't see thru the windows. Personally, when i'm in heavy traffic condition, i always see 2 cars ahead of me. When he starts to brake, you know its about time you brake. Saying that, you must first keep a safe distance. So if the car in front of you tints his car black, you basically don't have a good view of the traffic in front.

Secondly, for security purpose. If everyone tints their car black, you don't get to see whats going on inside the car. If someone is being kidnaped or raped, you won't know.

Third, you won't get to check out chics. Imagine all girls tint their car black, how are you gonna see if she's hot or not.

Frankly, using hot weather isn't exactly the best excuse. You actually have V-Kool or Ecotint which is actually legal yet able to cut out lots of heat and UV. I know how bad it gets on a non tinted car. My car is VKool tinted and sometimes i sit inside my friends non tinted car, feel like melting.

Putting curtains is stupid, besides unable to look inside, the ppl in d car cant look out either. You sound like u abide by the rules very well, so if thats the case, whether other ppl put sunshades or tint their rear windscreen dark, YOU shud not be following so close n shud observe the "safe" distance between u n the front car that we were taught in driving school. Not in all occasion we r able to see 2 cars ahead of us anyway, so u're gonna blame the buses, lorries, vans, n all the other taller vehicles too? Same goes when it's raining. So tinting isnt a problem here.

Secondly, for security purpose. If everyone tints their car black, you don't get to see whats going on inside the car. If someone is being kidnaped or raped, you won't know.
IF tinting was legal, police would still have to check/stop cars with dark tints n have a routine ID check n let go those ppl who r innocent. Not like Police now, going around catchin any car with dark tints or any modded shit n EXTORT money from them.

Third, you won't get to check out chics. Imagine all girls tint their car black, how are you gonna see if she's hot or not.
Keep ur eyes on the road buddy.. I would hate if u caused an accident. There's the Random Girls Thread. Hahahaa..

Of course its the BEST excuse. What else do we do tinting for? (Of coz im not talking about those cheap black tints here) .. And not every1 can afford V-Cool which costs like 2K+. Sorry rich guy.... Peace.

Taken from this post at Lowyat.

Based on the specs above, in my opinion UMW is really shooting themselves in the foot.

With such confident pricing, I personally wonder if this Camry can really move if based on specs alone?
Of course those uncles will not care about specs as they only look at the T badge.
