I plan to purchase a winch for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Anybody care to share their experience with Warn Winch? They are currently on sale and I am really tempted to place an order. Please help.

your car should have axle locker right?
If yes then u can tackle most obstacle.

To me winch is not compulsory as most offroad trip will be in convoy. In the convoy there will be few hardcore vehicle which will be the recovery vehicle. Some organized trip will make it compulsory for the vehicle to be equipped with MT tyre depending on the track.

Suggest u read some article on the net to fully understand your requirement. Brand is not the main issue of concern, u need to know your pulling weight u require, u want steel cable or plasma rope.

Lower capability winch can pull higher load using some technique.

However, most offroader out there just buy 1 they can afford and go offroad.Still works.
