Edaran Tan Chong Motor has just announced the introduction of a new variant in their Nissan Navara lineup, the Limited Edition Nissan Navara King Cab 4x4, a first for its body style in the pick-up segment in Malaysia.
The Navara King Cab caters for users that require both in-cabin and rear cargo storage. To ease the access to the cabin storage area, suicide rear doors are used that can be opened up to 90 degrees wide. Furthermore, the omission of the B-pillar allows the loading space to be maximised. Intended to serve as a workhorse, the Navara King Cab also comes with a larger rear cargo bed.
Just like the standard Navara 4x4, the King Cab variant gets the ‘Shift on the Fly’ 4WD system that is mated to the engine via a six-speed manual transmission.
“2010 marks a significant milestone for the Nissan brand in Malaysia as we achieved our highest sales record for the past 25 years with 32,998 units delivered to our valued customers” said Datuk Dr Ang Bon Beng, the Executive Director of ETCM, adding that the company is expecting to further increase its sales in Malaysia with the introduction of more new models this year.
There will be four colour options to select from for the Navara King Cab that are Tungsten Silver, Twilight Grey, Brilliant White and Supreme Black. Pricing for the King Cab had been set at RM82,800 (OTR w/insurance, road tax and registration).
