The M-Spec has been on sale since the 8th of, 2001 and is the result of the first change to the GT-R made by the new team of engineers headed by Kazutoshi Mizuno (the former chief engineer at Nissan Le Mans and Group C team manager). Mizuno's team worked on the handling characteristics of the V-spec, as Mizuno felt that it's harsh, highly strung razor-edged road-handling were great for smooth circuits but it needed more compliance for real roads.

Most of the changes are as a result of new ripple control shocks. As the graphs here show, most of the high frequency vibrations are eliminated.

The M-spec also has an aluminium bonnet and sports a hand sewn leather trimmed interior, which takes so long to complete that only a limited edition of 50 cars per month can be made.

A new Multi-Flex Colour (#EY0) called Champagne-Gold has also been developed for the M-Spec which is a bit like the Midnight Purple 2 colour in effect. Other available colours are: Metallic Black Pearl (#GV1), Sparkling Silver (#WV2) and White Pearl (#QX1).

i thought m was meant men spec. Its meant to separate the men from the boys. Giving softer ride where most older crowds would prefer and also the leather seats to give a more luxurious feel to it.

For the older men I supposed. LOL. According to a few sources they said it was Man-Spec but on the other hand Darkchild could be right.. Mizuno for M. The only solution is to get Mizuno out and ask him! LOL. Some said M because it starts with Mizuno which is quite obvious...

so my dear sifus,
what's a reasonable price to pay for that black one in Old Klang Road.

basically it looks great execpt for lack of side skirts (i find that odd) and also that the VIN plate has the lettering clearly etched out and can feel the letters embossed. was told once that skyline's VINs should have the characters almost undiscernable when touched by hand.

any advice?
