Improving low end torque

I have a Satria 1.3, using the asthmatic 4g13 engine. Just did my piping and changed from straight flow to s-flow muffler.

The piping is 1.6 inch in inner diameter. I expected some low end torque to come, instead, I lost it all as compared to when I was using a straight flow. And at that time, my piping is abit rojak also, after nenas use 2 inch to replace cat con, and the rest stock piping. FC was surprisingly good for a straight flow.

Unfortunately, now with my current setup, I lost both low and mid torque. Acceleration is sucky. Went to install a centre box today, only minimal difference.

So can anyone here please help me with suggestions on how to improve on low end power? Contemplating on forking out another RM300 for a new box type straight flow muffler. But I do like the quietness I have now.

Please do not suggest using open pod, as I have tried, and it is even worse. Somemore using SVDO system, Ill just settle for a free flow drop in filter.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
