Well, it's the favorite time of the year. It's year-end X'mas and New Year holidays. Many will be taking this opportunity for a long year-end break. Those with family will usually go back to their hometown or even bring family for a local vacation, if not overseas.

So if you're driving out of town, this is a friendly reminder. :)

Basic DIY Checklist
1) Engine oil level
2) ATF oil level
3) Brake oil level
4) Power steering oil level
5) Battery water (if maintenance ones)
6) Tire pressure
7) Tire thread & condition (cracks especially inner wall)
8) Belts condition (checking cracks)
9) Brake pads
10) Intercooler clips (tighten if loose)
11) Vacuum pipes condition
12) Radiator water level
13) Spare tank water level
14) Wiper blade condition
15) Wiper water resovior
16) All lamps working - headlamp, foglamp, signal, reverse, brake.

Basic DIY Maintenance
1) Replace or wash your air filter
2) Injector cleaner added before long distance driving - I benefited from this. Because I drive in city all the time, after using this, the engine so much smoother.

Engine Maintenance (if it's due soon, might as well do it now)
1) Engine oil
2) ATF
3) Brake fluid
4) Power steering fluid
5) Plugs
6) LSD oil
7) Brake pads
8) Coolen

Make sure also you have the basic tools in your boot.
1) Basic tool set
2) Tire jack
3) Cable ties
4) Wire tapes
5) Bottle of water
6) Plastic bags and news papers
7) Torch light
8) Pocket Swiss Knife

Remember to drive safely and most importantly, enjoy your HOLIDAY!
