halfcut B16A from civic EK4 not power as B16 from Integra?

from wat i know, OBD II ecu doesn't mean that it can't use performance chip. but if u've got an OBD I ecu then want to use OBDII, the wiring part can cause u headache. that's why some people who drive EG prefer to stick to EG halfcut only. but if u've originally got OBD II wirings (EK n newer models), i don't see why it can cause u problems. but there r peeps out there says that it's already hard just to put VAFC to an OBD II ecu. that means EK type R n DC type R. i sincerely don't know. better refer to an EK owner. Satanic says he doesn't have any problems ^_^

usually halfcuts comes with everything ie. corrent wirings and correct ECU...its the shop where you do the transplant that plays an important role...ive seen a fair share of shops who are too farkin lazy to redo the entire wiring...all they did is snip half your original wiring and reconnect with the new one from the halfcut...this is the main cause of transplanting headache....again.....get a proper shop to do the job..not some under the tree yah....

DC2 and DB8 is with B18C1 GSR(Black Top @ 185bhp) , n DC2-R is with B18C5(Red Top @ 200bhp)
If B16A, then comfirm DC1 or DB6...
The DC and DB series' 1st batch is 1993, so if u say it's 1993, then I assume it's a DB or DC..

If u r driving EK, then i think u'll rather get EK4's B16A with LSD...

yeah.. EJ/EK go for EK4/EK9 halfcut.... if u want bigger displacement can always drop in some b20b or b18c block.......the complete EK halfcut transplant is more important so they will look like an ori EK.....i've installed vafc in my OBD2 ek4 engine....no problem....easy job...i even remove it myself...just refer to the user manual.....

if you get the complete halfcut, then it should be complete. i rarely see, honest, rarely see a halfcut with rojak wiring that comes from japan unless it has been fully modified for race-use only but then again, those super duper ones ppl already buy even before they open the container.

i think its the shop that does the conversion that plays the important role when it comes to engine wiring loom and modifying ecu harness.

true true...best part about B series is the interchangebility of parts....heck im even using exedy clutch meant for EK....so far so good.... :)

yea ~ thatz y most of the ppl rather get B series engine than H22A n so on..

small v B16A=160ps,manufacturer's claim
big v B16A=170ps,manufacturer's claim...go figure.....but late model DA6's do come w big v B16A but still utilising d OBD0 wirinng n ECU....upgrades in camshafts profile n YS1(4.4FD) gearbox.....
i like all d simple answers here...u drive an EG/EH?get an EG 1/2cut....EK/EJ?get EK halfcut..dats d best case scenario ler....

wei,how d heck u use an EK chip in ur ECU?wat ECU r u running?wat wiring?i'm running OBDO wiring w PW0 ECU..tried an EG chip...hampeh!can start onry...won even rev pass 3000rpm!hahahahhaah

yeah thats what puzzled me...i suspect that my car is currently on OBD1 wiring...cos when i was toying with the Feel's chip from one of the gang...it was installed on EG ecu base....run fine as hell...now petrol naik harga...using stock DA ecu...check light keluar laa....the feels bypass them checklight....wait gaji besar masuk laa bang...HAHAHAHAHA

too many "rojaks"-lar thats why its all mixed up now.

the B16A PR3 J00/J51 "Big Vtec" DA6 do share the same harness with the P08 and the P28 from the OBDI D15B. that is why many hybrid EK uses the D15B box with no CEL with the feels chip at the same time the "Big Vtec" also can use.

aint it roight satanic? :p
